Business Case:
UNICEF is providing technical support to the Government of Kenya (GoK) in the scale up of the Nutrition Improvement through Cash and Health Education (NICHE) Programme through provision of comprehensive technical assistance, capacity development, systems strengthening support, financial oversight, monitoring, and quality control.
On this front, EITI is working collaboratively with UNICEF on the consultancy to develop a mobile application interface for the OnDemand Registration (Self Registration) of beneficiaries of the Nutrition Improvement through Cash and Health Education (NICHE) Programme. The primary objective being to simplify the On-Demand Registration system and implementation of a mobile based application for registration of beneficiaries to the NICHE programme.
EITI will work with UNICEF and the implementers of the NICHE programme, the Directorate of Children Services under the Ministry of Social Protection Services to streamline the OnDemand Registration (ODR) process and to digitize the process, leveraging on the latest in new technology.
Our Approach:
The EITI Team in collaboration with UNICEF and the Directorate of Children Services, DCS, stakeholders under the Ministry of Social Protection Services will adopt an Agile System Development Methodology to ensure a fully enhanced and optimal OnDemand Registration, ODR, process for the NICHE beneficiaries.
Outcomes:
The key outcomes will be the delivery to the Directorate of Children Services , DCS under the Kenya Ministry of Social Protection Services a fully functional and upgraded OnDemand Registration process and an mobile app.
