Business Case:
EITI Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Engineers are providing core GIS services and operations at the GeoLab of a major International Development Finance Institution located regionally in Nairobi, Kenya.
These core GIS services include analyzing Geospatial data for the Institutions global and regional programs, supporting location-based decision support systems, developing custom Geospatial applications and engaging in Geospatial programs advocacy.
Our Approach:
The EITI GIS Engineers assigned to the GeoLab of the International Development Financial Institution will work collaboratively with key Business Partners of the institution to engage in Geospatial data collection, and analysis, procurement of satellite imagery, Geospatial data and Drone Operations and capacity building for operations staff and Clients.
The services offered by EITI GIS Engineers to the Institution will also include developing Geospatial Solutions (e.g., Application Development, GeoAI, ArcGIS Dashboard and Story Maps creation), dataset Integration into existing platforms/applications) utilizing mainstream GIS software tools, ArcGIS, QGIS and Google Earth Pro.
Outcomes:
The key outcomes will be a to support the International Development Financial Institution in providing core GeoLab, Geospatial, GIS services while ensuring comprehensive, end-to-end coverage for the GeoLab, in Nairobi, Kenya both regionally and globally.
