The Covid-19 pandemic is a health crisis that has also transitioned into a global economic crisis, threatening the continued operation of SMEs and the livelihoods of workers everywhere, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa.

 

Given the role of SMEs as the backbone of the global economy, EITI, as a digital for development firm, is engaging SMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic period, to provide trusted policy advice and concrete digital tools to empower SMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa.

 

In this regard, EITI is working with leading experts from the following organizations to run a series of webinars and consulting engagements to empower SMEs to institute digital measures to get their services and products online. These organizations include the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, US Digital Development Lab, USAID, US, UNECA, eCommerce Forum for Africa, AfriLabs, UNCTAD, European Investment Bank, The Policy House, UK and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), Washington D.C. USA.
