Digitization of the Kenya Trade e-Learning Portal and Business Directory
Nairobi, Kenya
December 2025
Business Case:
EITI is working collaboratively with the UNDP, Nairobi, Kenya and KEPROBA in the digitization of the Kenya Trade e-Learning Portal and a Business Directory.
The E-Learning Portal will provide accessible, flexible, and high-quality online training to businesses, entrepreneurs, and trade professionals.
The Kenya Trade Directory will be a structured and organized listing of businesses, typically categorized by industry, product, or service, designed to facilitate trade and business connections. The Trade Directory will serve as a reference tool for buyers, sellers, investors, and other stakeholders to discover and connect with companies involved in trade. The Electronic Trade Directory once operationalized will create a dynamic, searchable, and interactive online platform that profiles domestic exporters, their products/services, and contact information. The directory will serve as a crucial digital bridge between local businesses and global markets
Our Approach:
The EITI Technical Team assigned to the design, development and implementation of the E-Learning Portal and the Kenya Trade Directory will work collaboratively in a Human Centric Design approach with all key UNDP and KEPROBA stakeholders in defining business and technical system requirements for the E-learning Portal and Trade Directory and thereafter adopting an Agile Development approach to construct the two IT systems.
Outcomes:
The key outcomes will be a fully functional Kenya Trade e-Learning Portal and Business Directory, designed and built in total compliance to UNDP , KEPROBA business and Kenya regulatory requirements.
